UrbanHope Awana

UrbanHope Awana is our mid-week kids program for grades k-6. Awana is a mentorship program, that builds community, and teaches life skills and encourages faith. Kids have the opportunity to earn badges, certificates, and awards for completing their own journals, Awana curriculum, various projects, and of course, their attendance!

UrbanHope Sundays

Our nursery is available for parents & their babies/toddlers!

During the service we have a great team to teach about Jesus in a fun child-friendly way with a goal to help head knowledge become heart knowledge. We want children to learn the foundations of faith. For moms & dads of babies / tots, our nursery room has interactive toys, video feed (ppt) and sound to follow along the teaching while spending time with your chilld.

Kids 5-12 can join our program and will be dismissed during the service! Watch for special events throughout the year.

UrbanHope Summer Camps

Summer Camps for Kids 6-12. Our camps are for both boys and girls and include: fun devotionals and motivational talks, sports or team games, creative arts and healthy snacks. Our camps only cost $10/week and are designed so no camper is left out, regardless of their abilities, orientation or beliefs.. We also give older kids the opportunity to serve in our JR leadership & Team leadership programs; these experiences can be used for their volunteer hours for high school. For more info contact P. Dan at: dan@churchinthecity.ca or call: 416-203-7117.

Community Events for Kids

Throughout the year we host special events for our kids in our community and who attend CITC. These events are almost always free to attend and events are inclusive for all kids regardless of age, ability, faith or gender. These events are fun, intentional in including everyone's participation and often include working-together activities to encourage friendship and problem solving. We also do serve events where kids are challenged to serve our community, like Operation Backpack event. Contact P. Dan for more info or ask anyone of our kids about our special events. Watch for Buzz our mascot, he tends to show up at a lot of these events!
