** Bringing Back Night Church - **

#CITCanary

We’re Here to Serve!

**Finding Joy in Evening Services**

There's a unique charm and profound depth in gathering for church in the evenings that my wife, Liana, and I cherish deeply. It's not merely about relishing the extra sleep (though it's a welcomed benefit!), but about dedicating the best part of our day to worship and fellowship. This evening tradition has profoundly reshaped our understanding of church - transforming it from a mere item on our weekend agenda to the day's highlight.

**A Youthful Spirit in Ministry**

Despite my role as a pastor, I've always stood out a bit - eschewing coffee and the near-ubiquitous Apple products, with a particular fondness for the nocturnal hours. At 33, I find myself straddling the line between youth and maturity, a duality that enriches my approach to life and ministry.

**Learning and Laughter Along the Way**

Our journey has been filled with moments of laughter, growth, and the occasional slip-up in keeping up with youthful slang - notably, my amusing misinterpretation of "rizz." These experiences underscore the continuous journey of growth and connection, not just with the youth but with our entire community.

**Our Mission,Vision, and Values**

Our church's mission is deeply rooted in Christ, aimed at creating a vibrant community, fostering spiritual growth, and making a tangible impact through outreach. We envision making Christ known in the St. Lawrence, Canary, and surrounding communities, guided by values of compassion, mentorship, and hope, all founded on the bedrock of Scripture.

**Living Out Our Faith**

As we explore the teachings of 1 Peter 2, we're reminded of our calling to spiritual growth, moral purity, and the importance of living our faith through actions of love and service. We, the church, are a collective of 'living stones,' each contributing to a spiritual house where our lives serve as sacrifices to God.

**A Call to Action**

Our dedication to loving God and others motivates our outreach and community service. We strive to be a beacon of Christ's love, encouraging each other to grow in faith, seek spiritual nourishment, and live out the transformative power of the Gospel.

**Our Identity in Christ**

Our identity transcends worldly labels, rooted in our status as God's chosen people, called to declare His praises and live with purpose. This identity shapes our mission - to love God and others passionately, serving with compassion and reaching out to those in need.

**A Commitment to Community and Growth**

As we continue on this journey, let's embrace the transformative potential of the Gospel and the beauty of gathering in His name, regardless of the time. Our evening services symbolize our commitment to prioritizing God in our lives, fostering a community of faith that grows, serves, and loves together.

Closing Thoughts: A Future Bright with Faith

I just share how amazed I am by the goodness of God as we start this lighthouse for the Canary District. As God has already opened doors to minister to the surrouding co-op housing, Indigenous housing, and also reduced our rent, we know this is just the beginning. God has so much in-store for this church and community, and we are going to pursue and hold on to HIM! AMEN!"
